Knowing that all are impermanent, transient, my heart is tender like an ocean that holds everything. What remains will be the stars, the wind, the echo in the air, the flickering light reflections on the water... All are forgivable, but not forgettable. Again and again, I remember this poem from Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche's "Timely Rain": In the jungles of flaming ego, May there be cool iceburg of bodhicitta. On the racetrack of bureaucracy, May there be the walk of the elephant. May the sumptuous castle of arrogance Be destroyed by vajra confidence.
