Timely Rain

Again and again, I remember this poem from Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche's "Timely Rain":

In the jungles of flaming ego,
May there be cool iceburg of bodhicitta.

On the racetrack of bureaucracy,
May there be the walk of the elephant.

May the sumptuous castle of arrogance
Be destroyed by vajra confidence.

In the garden of gentle sanity,
May you be bombarded by coconuts of wakefulness.

Waterfall

Remembering the sound, smell, light, and magic of waterfalls. Everything changes constantly, drastically.

Standing by the waterfalls: just be, here and now. Be still in all the movements. Aware of the energy flowing. It's like having a good conversation with the universe. The present moment contains everything.

Bathing in the moment of complete fullness...

The Swan

Did you too see it, drifting, all night, on the black river?
Did you see it in the morning, rising into the silvery air -
An armful of white blossoms,
A perfect commotion of silk and linen as it leaned
into the bondage of its wings; a snowbank, a bank of lilies,
Biting the air with its black beak?
Did you hear it, fluting and whistling
A shrill dark music - like the rain pelting the trees - like a waterfall
Knifing down the black ledges?
And did you see it, finally, just under the clouds -
A white cross Streaming across the sky, its feet
Like black leaves, its wings Like the stretching light of the river?
And did you feel it, in your heart, how it pertained to everything?
And have you too finally figured out what beauty is for?
And have you changed your life?

Autumn Storm

The autumn storm swept away all the remaining leaves on the trees. The snow is falling and the winter is coming. Appreciating the changes of seasons and changes of life. It is not a bad thing; it is powerful and fulfilling.

Abstract Waves

I am not a mystic. However, taking a walk in the woods in autumn, we can truly connect to the elements in the nature world: the leaves are changing colors and falling; the clouds moving dramatically, sometimes reveal some patches of clear blue sky; the smell and touch sensations of a pine tree forest. The vultures and hawks are flying effortlessly, riding on the wind. Everything is in harmony. Everything is communicating with each other - only our thoughts block us from perceiving this. Our worries, fears, emotions, our big ego and ideas are in our way... There are inner connections that we cannot see but we can feel. On this beautiful planet earth, if we aspire to, we can feel and care for each other, as best as we can.

A Hundred Dragons

Dragons are inscrutable, playful, powerful and mysterious. They are beyond all boundaries, moving in all spaces with tremendous freedom and clear seeing. They are the energy, the force itself. When the mind is truly genuine and free, there is no limit to its possibilities.

The Sea at Dawn

Remembering the fanatic view that lasts lifetime? The sea at dawn: when heaven and horizon, the air and sea waves, all mixed together. There is no boundary in the great mystic atmosphere.
